Record type: Motorsport Biographies
Biography: Age 22, Brian Carr is a motor mechanic from Ainsdale, Southport. He has had experience at short circuit meetings such as Aintree and Cadwell Park, and in the Southern "100," and rode in the 1957 350 c.c. Newcomers' race, but had to retire. In 1958 he was unlucky again—he retired in the third lap of the Junior Manx, and was a non-starter in the Senior, and in 1959 he retired on the last lap of the Junior.
Last year, however, he won a Replica in the Junior, finishing 31st at 82.34 m.p.h. This year he has already scored places at Aintree, Oulton Park and Silverstone and was 7th in the 350 c.c. class of the recent I.o.M. Southern "100".
Hobby: "Fishing, and trying to make ends meet." (TT Special, 5 September 1961, p.9)
