Biography: Age 29, Peter Carr is a lorry driver and comes from Consett, Co. Durham. He was sixth in the 1951 Junior Clubman's TT but in an earlier attempt in 1949 he crashed and injured his spine. Just demobbed after National Service, he rode an AJS in the 1954 Junior Manx, finishing 32nd and winning a replica. He rode again in the Junior but finishing 40th in the Senior. Now, after three year's absence from the Island, he returns to have a go again; his machine for both races is a 1954 7R.
