Biography: Age 36, Barry Cortvriend comes from Farnham, near Blandford, Dorset and gives his occupation as "spiv" (although we understand that he is actually a motor salesman!) He says that he dislikes short circuits, and that most of his racing has been done in the Island. He competed in the 1954 and 55 Manx series, and in the 1955 and 56 Clubman's races, his best placing being 14th in the 1955 Junior Clubman's. In the 1956 Junior Manx he finished 50th, but retired on his fifth lap in the Senior. Barry was 45th in last year's Junior Manx and 30th in the Senior. He is his own entrant for this year's Senior TT - his first 'International' TT race.
