Age 30, a motor-cycle agent, of Scarborough, Freddy Fairbairn finished sixth in the Senior Clubman’s T.T. of 1947, and, riding in the same race in 1948, brought a Vincent H.R.D. into ninth place at 72.25 m.p.h. Three months later, in the Junior “Manx” he finished sixteenth on an A.J.S. at 73.20 m.p.h., winning a replica. He has also had successes at Donington, Scarborough, etc.

Lat year, he turned “international,” rode an A.J.S. in the Junior and finished 51st (second-class replica) at 74.50 m.p.h. He was also entered for the Senior race on a Triumph, but was a non-starter.

Hobbies: Sailing and ice skating.

Three months later, in the Junior “Manx” he finished sixteenth on an AJS at 73.20 mph winning a replica. He has also had successes at Donnington, Scarborough etc.

In 1949 he turned “international”, rode an AJS in the Junior and finished 51st (second class replica) at 74.50 mph. He was also entered for the Senior race on a Triumph, but was a non-starter. In the 1950 Junior TT he retired after completing one lap, but in the Senior the following Friday, he rode a Vincent into 51st place at 72.50 mph.

Hobbies: Sailing and ice skating.

He is entered for both races by Fairbairn-Laycock Ltd., of Scarborough.
