Age 36, John Fisher rode a 1951 A.J.S. 7R in the island in the 1952 Junior and Senior races—the same mount that Jim Kentish owned and rode in 1951.

John, a motorcycle agent from Portsmouth, competed in the T.T. in 1951 and finished 58th in the Senior and 34th in the Junior. In all he has ridden in eleven races over the T.T. course: two Clubman’s, two Manx Grands Prix and seven International T.T.’s.

His first race in the island was in the Clubman’s Junior of 1948, in which he took fifteenth place on an Ariel. On his next visit, the following year, and in the same event, he finished eleventh on a B.S.A at 71.37 m.p.h. Three months later he was back for the Manx and finished 23rd in the Junior. He crashed when running well in the Senior.

In the 1950 Junior T.T. he retired, but was 39th on a Norton in the Senior event, at 77.99 m.p.h.

A year later he was 39th in the Junior T.T. and 35th in the Senior on a 7R A.J.S., whilst he was 16th in the Lighweight on an M. & F. Excelsior, winning three bronze replicas.

He retired in last year’s Junior and 125 c.c. races, but rode his Junior A.J.S. into 33rd place in the Senior, just outside replica time.

Age 34, John Fisher brings a 1951 A.J.S. 7R to the Island this year for the Junior and Senior races – the same mount that John Kentish owned and rode in 1951. John, a motor-cycle agent from Portsmouth, competed in the T.T. last year and finished 58th in the Senior and 34th in the Junior. In all he has ridden in eight races over the TT course; two Clubman’s, two Manx Grand Prix’s, and four International T.T.’s.

Age 20; an apprentice joiner, of Barrow-in-Furness. Rode a 1948 Triumph Tiger 100 with spring wheel in last year’s Clubman’s Senior, and finished seventeenth at 69.54 m.p.h. Machine: Triumph.

Age 32, a motor-cycle agent, of Portsmouth, John Fisher has competed in various scrambles and has ridden in four races over the T.T. course – two Clubman’s and two Manx Grand Prix.

His first race was the Clubman’s Junior of 1948, in which he finished fifteenth on an Ariel. The next year, riding a B.S.A. in the same event, he finished eleventh at 71.37 m.p.h., well within the time for receipt of a free entry to the Manx. Three months later he rode a Velocette in the Manx Junior, finishing 23rd at 74.34 m.p.h., just outside replica time. When running well on the same machine in the Senior race of the following Thursday, he unfortunately crashed on the last lap.

His Norton is a Double Knocker, owned by Tommy Wood, whilst his Velocette was used last year by Freddy Hawken.

Hobby: Flying.
