Jack Gow

Biography: Age 20, Jack Gow is a motor cycle mechanic, and comes from Dundee. He tells us that he has ridden at all Scottish circuits with various firsts, seconds, thirds, fourths and fifths. He rode a Ducati in, last year's 125 c.c. T.T. and finished 21st at 64.04 m.p.h.with a Finishers' Award. Last April he was third in the 200 c.c. race at Charterhall. Jack's machine for this year's Lightweight (250) race is a 175 c.c. model. Hobbies! "Motor cycling and swimming". (TT Special, 12 June 1961, p. 26).
Sadly Jack Gow lost his life during practice for the 1996 Junior Classic MGP after he came off his 350cc Petty Manx Norton at the 32nd Milestone.
