Age 26, a motor-cycle mechanic from Prees, Salop, Howard Grindley is a successful grass track rider in the Cheshire Centre. He first rode in the Isle of Man in 1948, when he finished nineteenth in the Senior Manx Grand Prix at 73.14 m.p.h. In 1950 he was eleventh in the Senior Manx at 78.28 m.p.h.
He is entered by Hector Dugdale, of Greenbank Garage, Helsby. His Norton is a new model while the 125 "D.M.W."
(Dugdale Motor Works) is basically a 150 c.c. Royal Enfield altered and tuned by Grindley.
