Biography: Junior – A.J.S.
125 c.c. – Anelay-Excel.
Senior – Norton
Age 28, Ken Harwood comes from Blackburn. He started racing on a 1935 95R Sunbeam and has competed at most of the short circuits in the North, usually with “trouble of some sort, never serious.”
On a 1949 7R A.J.S. he rode in the 1950 North West 200 and gained second place in the “first time handicap.” He entered for the Ulster but crashed in practice due to engine trouble.
He is using the same 1949 A.J.S. in the Junior, but has a new type Norton for the Senior. Shuttleworth and Geldart, of Blackburn, have entered him in both races.
He is entered in the 125 c.c. race by Anelays (Blackburn) Ltd., who have designed and built the engine in their own machine shop.
Non-starter in “125” race.
