Biography: Age 22, Maurice Hawthorne is a draughtsman (when employed!) and comes from Stapleton, Bristol. He has ridden in the Isle of Man Southern "100" and in last year's Senior Manx, in which, unfortunately, he had to retire on the fourth lap. His machine is a 1959 Manx model, ex-Vernon Cottle, and he writes "I share its ownership with Lloyds Bank."
