Lightweight – Rudge
Home town, Perth. Occupation, Motor Cycle Agent. During the War used his machine shop for the manufacture of aircraft components for Vickers Armstrong Ltd.
Has twice ridden in the M.G.P. Lightweight class, in 1938 and 1946 but had bad luck on each occasion and did not finish.
His Junior mount is Tommy McEwan’s “Manx” Norton. In the Lightweight he rides a 250 c.c. 2-valve Rudge built by himself after the specification of Roland Pike’s 1939 T.T. job, but using light alloys wherever possible.
