My good friend 'Gentleman John' I went with him to the 1955 MGP, he blew the motor up and borrowed my Vincent Comet to learn the course. He started his racing career on a 1930's 500cc Vincent. When I last saw him he had just bought 2 new Manx Nortons ( 500 Pounds each) and he didn't know how he was going to pay for them. Is he still alive? I haven't been able to find him. - Tony Day Report this
Thank you for your comment Tony Day. Maybe someone in the racing fraternity will see it and be able to give us more information about 'Gentleman John.' Kind regards, Emma - Emma. Digital Collections Assistant Report this
