John Hutchinson

Biography: Age 34, John Hutchinson is a press toolmaker and comes from Liverpool. He was 32nd in the 1955 350 cc. Clubman's race over the Clypse circuit on a Douglas '90' Plus and he took part in practising for the same race in 1956, but was a non-starter due to gastric flu.

John Hutchinson lost his life on 8th September 1958 whilst competing in the Junior Snaefell MGP after losing control of his machine during the third lap on the approach to the 32nd milestone on the mountain section. The TT Special shown at the top of the page was issued the day after his death,obviously unaware of the incident prior to going to print.
