Biography: Mounts: Junior—A.J.S.
Senior—Norton.

Age 30, Cyril Julian is a motorcycle mechanic, and comes from Eastwood, Notts.

Last year was his first International T.T., but he has had plenty of experience of the T.T. course. In 1950 he was third in the Junior Manx Grand Prix on a Velocette at 77.57 m.p.h., and two days later, riding the same machine in the Senior race, finished 17th, with a replica.

In 1951 he was fifth in the 350 c.c. class of the Leinster “200”, and fourth in the Junior Manx, on his Velocette, at 77.66 m.p.h. And in the Senior Manx, this time on a 350 c.c. A.J.S., he improved on his performance of the previous year, finishing tenth, with a replica, at 80.37 m.p.h.

Again A.J.S. mounted, he finished 17th in last year’s Junior T.T., winning a silver replica, but retiring on the third lap of the Senior, in which he was riding a Norton.

He is entered for the Junior race by Ray Gamble, and for the Senior by W. S. Humphrey.
