Age 26, Ron Langston is a farmer, and comes from Campden, Gloucestershire. He has ridden in three Thruxton 500 mile and 9 hour races and was very well known for his trials and scrambles successes – he was a member of the Ariel factory team and gained two Gold Medals in the International “Six Days.”
Last year he rode brilliantly, finishing second in the Junior – his first race over the Mountain Course. For this performance he was given the Newcomer’s Award.
His machines for this year’s races are both 1960 models.
