Age 40, garage proprietor, of Barrow-in-Furness, William Maddrick has had racing experience at Donington, Cadwell Park, Scarborough, etc., and has competed in the North-West “200.” Rode in both Senior and Junior “Manx” races in 1946, but did not finish in either. Tried again in the “Manx” in 1947, with an Excelsior in the Lightweight and a 348 Norton in the Senior. Finished thirteenth in the Lightweight at 61.42 m.p.h., and twentieth in the Senior at 69.07 m.p.h.

In 1948, on a 1939 Mk. VIII KTT Velocette, he finished eighteenth in the Junior T.T. and sixteenth in the Senior, gaining a silver replica in each event. In 1949, he rode the same old warrior in the Junior race, but retired in the first lap after a crash at Hilberry.

He rode Velocettes in the 1950 Junior and Senior T.T., finishing 46th in the former at 75.26 m.p.h. and collecting a second-class replica. In the Senior race, however, he came off at Governor's Bridge on his fourth lap and pushed into the finish.

He is his own entrant for both races.
