In the Senior event four days later he was well up the field when, on the sixth lap, he crashed at the Gooseneck, due to oil on the tyre, and sustained a broken collarbone.

In the 1950 Junior T.T. he retired after completing two laps, but in the Senior event he rode a Norton into 22nd place at a speed of 81.28 m.p.h. and collected a second class replica.
