Biography: Age 26, an engineer from Sorn, Ayrshire, James Morton rode in the Manx Grand Prix for the first time in 1956. He has had several successes in trials and scrambles, but says that after trying most branches of motor cycling sport he finds road racing the most attractive. He was 15th in the 1955 Junior Clubman's race and sixth in the same event in 1956. He qualified for a replica in the 1956 Manx when he finished 27th in the Junior event. He rode a 350 BSA in both last year's Manx races, finishing 17th in the Junior at 82.07 mph with a replica and 52nd in the Senior. Hobby: Golf.

Age 28, James Morton is an engineer and comes from Sorn, Ayrshire. He was 15th in the 1955 Junior Clubman’s race and sixth in the same event the following year. Three months later he was 27th in the Junior Manx on an A.J.S., winning a replica.

In 1957 and ’58 he finished in both Junior and Senior M.G.P.’s, with a replica in the 1957 Junior for 17th place, but last year he retired in both races.
