Biography: Junior - Norton
Age 28, Bob Pratt describes himself as a 'skoolteechur' - hence no doubt the advanced spelling! His first race over the T.T. course was in the 1947 Junior Clubman's, in which has ran second to Denis Parkinson, averaging 68.87 m.p.h. The following September, he rode in both Junior and Senior Manx Grands Prix, finishing in both and winning a replica in the former. In 1948 he was again a finisher in both Manx races, and won replicas in both - he was 27th in the Junior at 71.42 m.p.h., and ninth in the Senior at 75.66, Norton mounted in each case. He maintained his 'finishing form' in the 1949 Junior Manx, coming in eighth on a Velocette at 77.22 m.p.h., but in the Senior race on the following Thursday he retired in the second lap. In 1950 he was eleventh reserve the Senior T.T., but failed to get a ride.
Hobbies: Piano, swimming, gymnastics and athletics.
He is his own entrant for this year's Junior race.
