Biography: Junior - Norton
Age 39, a motor engineer of Kettering, Northants, Ernie Procter has had numerous successes at Cadwell Parkm where he is one of the oldest and most consistent riders. He has also competed at many other short circuit events.
In 1939 he won a free entry for the 'Manx' at Cadwell, but, of course, the race was abandoned owing to the outbreak of war. He did ride i n1947, however, in the Junior Manx Grand Prix and won a replica, and in the Junior Clubman's T.T. in 1949 he finished 43rd on a Matchless.
He is riding in place of Joe Glazebrook, injured at Blandford's Whit Monday meeting, and is using Bill McVeigh's 1951 type Norton. He has also qualified as a reserve on a Norton in the Senior Race.
