Biography: Age 32, Robert Currie Ritchie comes from Blantyre, Lanarkshire.
His first appearance in the Island was for the 1951 Clubman's when he finished fourth in the Senior. Since then he has competed in Clubman's and Manx Grand Prix races, his best Manx "place" being third in the 1959 Junior. In 1957 he was eighth in the Junior Manx, with a replica, but retired in the Senior. In 1958 he was sixth in the Junior at 86.21 m.p.h., and in the 1959 Senior he was 8th at 90.61 m.p.h. Last year he was sixth in the Junior at 87.40 m.p.h., and eighth in the Senior at 90.60, with a couple more replicas. Hobbies Swimming and motoring.

Since then he has competed in Clubman's and Manx Grand Prix races, his best Manx “place” being third in last year's Junior. In 1957 he was eighth in the Junior Manx, with a replica, but retired in the Senior. In 1958 he was sixth in the Junior at 86.21 m.p.h., and in last year's Senior he was 8th at 90.61 m.p.h.

His machines for this year's races are both 1960 models, the A.J.S. being bought originally by Bob Anderson for the T.T. but was not used.
