Biography: Age 30, Bob Rowe is a motor engineer and comes from Bexleyheath, Kent. He started racing in 1952 on a 250 c.c. Rudge; he then turned to a Gold Star B.S.A. and first raced on a 500 c.c. Manx Norton in 1957.

Bob's successes last year included a first (350 c.c.) at Crystal Palace, first and second (500) and second (250) at Brand's Hatch, and fourth (350) and fifth (250) at Snetterton, whilst in the North-West "200" he was ninth in the 350 c.c. race and fifth in the 500.

Last year he won races at Brand's Hatch and Crystal Palace, whilst he finished tenth on a Norton in the Senior Manx Grand Prix at 89.58 m.p.h., winning a Silver Replica and the Newcomers' Award. His machine for the 125 c.c. T.T. is a standard Honda converted to racing trim, which his Lightweight "Velocette" has A.J.S. forks, Norton wheels, a home-built frame and a 350 c.c. ex-works Velocette engine reduced to 249 c.c.
