Biography: Age 27, Derek Barry Russell is a tool-room foreman and comes from Birkdale, Southport. He rode in the T.T. for the first time last year but he had had some experience of short circuits such as Aintree and Cadwell Park. In last year's Senior he finished 26th at exactly 90 miles per hour and won a Bronze Replica. He is entered by G. E. Leigh (Motor Cycles) Ltd., of Southport.
