Biography: Age 27, Gerald Saward is a pattern cutter and comes from Croydon, Surrey. He has had over five years' racing experience at Aintree, Brands Hatch, Kirkby Mallory, Snetterton, etc. and has more than once been placed within the first half-dozen. In the 1958 350 c.c. Snaefell race he was 24th on a Norton at 76.81 m.p.h. and on the same machine he was 33rd in the Senior Manx Grand Prix. He was 28th in the Junior Manx in 1959, winning a replica—and he was 28th again in the same race last year with another " Rep." His machine is a standard 1959 Manx Norton.
