Biography: Age 23, Dan Shorey is a motor cycle mechanic and comes from Banbury. He has collected first, second and third places at Aintree, Alton Towers, Brand's Hatch, CadwelI Park, Mallory Park, Rhydymwyn, Silverstone, Snetterton, etc. He was a co-winner with Mike Hailwood in the 1958 Thruxton 500 mile race.

He was sixth in the 1958 350 c.c. Clubman's race, and third in the same event in 1959 with fastest lap. He was 31st in the 1958 350 c.c. Snaefell race on a Norton at 75.35 m.p.h. and on the same machine was 29th in the Senior Manx. In 1959, riding Nortons in both Junior and Senior M.G.P.'s, he was 44th in the Junior but retired In the Senior; last year, however, he was ninth in the Senior Manx at 89.81 m.p.h. Last month he won both 125 and 250 c.c. races at Aberdare, and on Whit Monday he won the 125 c.c. race at Thruxton and was second in the 250.

Dan is entered by the Bultaco factory for the 125 c.c. T.T., but is his own entrant for the other three solo races. (TT Special, 16 June 1961, p. 16.)

Senior – Norton
