Biography: Age 21, Donald Edward Watson comes from Torquay, but is employed as a mechanical engineer in the research department of a large Manchester firm. He has been racing for two seasons, his first success being at last Easter's Thruxton meeting when he won the 350 c.c. non-experts race; he has also scored second places at Oulton Park and Prees Heath.
His machine is a 1958 model, which was ridden by Alan Trow on that year's Junior T.T. It then passed to Peter Bettison in whose hands it achieved, and still holds, the absolute track record on the "long" Thornaby circuit. Hobbies: "Can't afford any."
