Biography: Criminal case. Crown case. Along with Robert Collister, 11, William McDonald, 13, and Thomas McKewin, 14, High Bailiff Quirk's order. 11 december taken to Douglas to be tried, all indicted. 21 December tried, the boys pleaded guilty, the woman pleaded not guilty, was found guilty by the jury. Sentence of transportation for 7 years passed on the whole of them. Isabella was delivered to Mr Bellion to be conveyed to the ship 'Royal Admiral' at Woolwich 11 April 1842. The 3 lads here named delivered to Mr Chesterman to be conveyed to the 'Justitia', at Woolwich. Age: 44. Date of discharge: 29 January 1842. (MS 09783/1/1, p.112)
