Derek Brindley

Biography: Age 27, Derek Francis Brindley is a greengrocer and comes from Doncaster, Yorks. He has had a varied experience of racing-three seasons on grass tracks, scrambles and stock cars - and has raced solo and sidecar on most English short circuits "with moderate success."
His machine is "Home Built" and cost only £150 complete with full streamlining. It has three brakes, fibre glass tanks and Earles forks and was driven successfully last season at Cadwell Park and Kirby Mallory.
In last year's T.T. he came home 14th at 61.70 m.p.h, with a Finisher's Award, and a couple ,months later he was third in the Sidecar scratch race at Cadwell Park. Last month, on a Vincent, he was first in the first 1000 c.c. Sidecar race at Scarborough, and second in the second. He is entered by Dick Ward Motorcycles Ltd., of Workshop.
