Biography: Mrs Molly Coupe, lived in Queens Terrace, Douglas, not far from the Manx Museum. Molly was a member of both the Isle of Man Art Society and the Mannin Art Group and she exhibited regularly at their exhibitions from 1963 to 1996. A good number of her pictures, which were mainly in oils, depict street scenes around Lower Douglas, such as Big Well Street, Bond Lane, the Old Market Place, etc. Some of these were reproducing the scenes of old Douglas from early T.S. Keig postcards, such as 'Bond Lane, 1912' 'The Coffee Palace', etc. Pricewise, Molly sold her pictures for between £3. 3s. when she started up to £60 each in 1996.
