Biography: Edward Callow, son of James and Elizabeth Callow, born 10 February 1825 at St. James' Westminster. Died 23 May 1900 at The Lawn, Hanwell. Member of a firm of stockbrokers, author of " The Phynodderree and other legends of the Isle of Man", 1882, "From King Orry to Queen Victoria. A Short and Concise History of the Isle of Man" 1899, and "Old London Taverns, Historical, Descriptve and Reminiscent with some Account of the Coffee Houses, Clubs, etc.", 1899.
