Fort Street (Douglas)
Description: Fort Street is near the quay in Douglas on the east coast of the Isle of Man (NGR 23830 47570). Brown's Guide to the Isle of Man of 1900 says, "Fort Street, so named from the old Pictish Fort, formerly near it, being a narrow winding lane leading through a part of the old town...In Fort Street are the Custom House Bonding Warehouses and St. Barnabas' Church." (p.79)
