Glencrutchery House (Douglas)
Description: Glencrutchery House is in upper Douglas on the east coast of the Isle of Man (NGR 23875 47812). Brown's Guide to the Isle of man of 1900 says, "This pretty glen is reached by a short and pleasant stroll by Broadway and Victoria Road to it junction with the north road at Glencrutchery Bridge. This bridge carries the highway over the glen; and the views both up and down the glen from it are very beautiful. The glen itself is somewhat difficult of access, and the upper portion belongs to the private grounds of Glencrutchery." (p. 124)
