Rushen Camp shell brooch

Description: A shell brooch made from a small scallop shell, with barnacles attached, and a safety pin fastening on the back. The barnacles have been painted red, blue and green. The shell has two holes drilled through it and a safety pin fastened to it with green cotton thread.
The donor was a member of the civilian staff in the Rushen Internment Camp who purchased and was given several craft items made by the internees.
