Avon Tyres metal advertising sign
Date made: c.1960
Description: Blue and white enamelled advertising sign for Avon Tyres, dating from the 1960s. Handwritten information on the reverse indicates that the sign came from Peel Engineering. This firm had a close relationship with Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) riders in the 1950s and 60s, supplying fairings and other components.
Damaged and scuffed in places.
