Description: "Port Iron [Port Erin]. Of the cottages, two are public houses…there is no quay or landing place other than is formed by craggy projections of the aforesaid rocks." (Sir George Head, A Home Tour through Various Parts of the United Kingdom, 1837, M 02445).

A watercolour which is part of an album by Henry Read Wellbye, donors father, who is thought to have been on holiday on the Isle of Man in 1863 before his marriage.
