Description: A hand carved wooden cigarette holder made as a present for C.R. Cuthbert, the Commandant of the Married Camp, Rushen Internment Camp during the Second World War. The cigarette holder was made by the renowned German archaeologist and internee, Professor Gerhard Bersu, and his wife, Mrs Maria Bersu, using wood excavated from the Ballacagen Celtic roundhouse in 1941.
A handcarved wooden cigarette holder, roughly carved with a flattened mouthpiece and a circular hollow end to hold cigarette. Unused.
