Ayre Charles I coins
Date made: AD 1625-1649
Description: Sometime over four hundred years ago during King Charles I’s reign, someone lost these tiny copper coins (farthings). Remarkably, the tiny cloth purse that they were in also survived. The coins were found by metal detectorist Mark Leadley.
