Description: A cream handprinted card with a design of a snowman (a satirical cartoon of Adolf Hitler) with a broom and a scythe melting in the sun and the inscription, 'May the Sun of 1941 melt that Snowman'.
A New Year card produced in Onchan or Hutchinson internment camp, the cartoon is initialed 'D.O.L.'.
The card was given to donor's husband who was a member of the Home Guard and lived at 13 Falkland Drive, Onchan, during the Second World War. He visited the internment camps on a regular basis.
