Description: White muslin dress with all-over tamboured leaves and spots. 2 Vs of embroidered net inserted in bodice. High waist. Drawstring at neck. 5 worked thread buttons on bodice. Skirt gathered at back. 15 cm bodice 1.12 m skirt, centre front. 60 cm waist.

Dress of white cotton muslin, with all-over design of chain-stitched dots. (Tambour work?). Dress is high-waisted with a low square neckline. Bodice has no underarm seams but is shaped by narrow, flat seams at the side front and back. Bodice fitted into waistband of same fabric, with C.B. opening fastened by 5 Dorset type buttons and button holes. Front decorated with a single zig-zag insert of lace below neck which has separate drawstrings across front and back bodice. Front pulls up at L.S. at join with narrow shoulders, and back pulls up at C.8. Set-in sleeves are gathered very slightly towards back shoulder and are narrow and fitted down length of arm, the hem edged with 1cm wide lace. 4 piece skirt has three back panels, each side panel having a 15cm pocket-access in the outer seam. Tightly gathered either side of the 19cm. C.B. opening. Back of skirt has a train and dress hemmed at 12cm.
