Victorian greetings card
Description: Victorian card. Possibly home made using commercially printed scraps. Base is a folded sheet of white paper, one side of which is embossed and stamped out with intricate border. Next is an embossed silver paper oval frame covered in blue and cream lace and white and pink fabric flowers and card floral scraps. Printed silk centre piece, white with green printed verse 'Love's Wish'. Large silver stamped and embossed border with pink fabric flowers at bottom. 3d effect by padding each layer with concertinaed strips of paper. 19.5 x 12.5 x 0.5 cm. Belonged to Corrin family of The Parade, Castletown.
