Ibanez guitar played by Ami Faragher, 'Twisted Angels' rhythm guitarist
Date made: n.d.
Maker: Ibanez
Description: Musical instrument. This guitar was played by Ami Faragher, the rhythm guitarist with Manx all-girl rock and punk band, 'Twisted Angels' in the early 2000s.
The guitar is painted silver.
The 'Twisted Angels' were just one part of a thriving Manx music scene in the early 2000s. The band formed at school in 2002, and like many of their contemporaries cut their teeth at The Trafalgar pub in Douglas, dubbed the spiritual home of modern Manx music. After three years of hard work their album Alter Ego was signed for worldwide distribution. They undertook three UK tours in 2005 and played at the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) festival in 2006.
Ami Faragher is still heavily involved with the Manx music scene, and organises regular Pride nights at her pub, the Saddle Inn, Douglas.
