White Manx linen Chemise

Description: Women's chemise in white Manx linen. Frill of finer fabric round neck and sleeve openings.

Hand-sewn and embroidered (feather stitch) on taper holding frill. 34 inch centre back. Unworn-gathers still marked by stroking pin.

It was found when the donor moved into a house which was a family property since 1860.
