Laxey silver fork
Description: Fork - Laxey silver, fiddle pattern. Mark covered 3-legs, crown D M A1 'Laxey Silver' flanked by 3-legs. 8 inch overall. Donor's grandfather was a Milburn - ironfounder (for Laxey wheel and Gellings).
D M is one of the trademarks used by Daniel and Arter of Birmingham, silver platers, who produced much of the so-called 'Laxey Silver'.
