Key Fob from Grand theatre Picturedrome
Date made: early 20th century
Description: 'SCOTTISH NATIONAL KEY REGISTRY and INSURANCE ASSOC. LTD' key ring tag No 1623 offering 5/- reward if taken to police station by finder. Marked 'DOUGLAS (Isle of Man)' used by donor's father, manager of the Grand Theatre Picturedrome in 1912 [H.B.Wincote].
In 1912 Wincote is reported as having received a silver ink stand from Percy Tarling of the Douglas Head Entertainers as a mark of the goodwill which existed between the manager and staff at the Grand Theatre Picturedrome. Wincote described as 'the genial and go-ahead manager'. Later he was manager of the Strand Cinema. However there is no mention of him after 1913.
