Souvenir Writing Case
Date made: 1870s-1890s
Description: Metal (silvery, twisted rib) cylindrical case. The push-on lid section has a 'Stanhope' view 'A Memory of Douglas' with Loch Promenade, Tower of Refuge Laxey Wheel, Rlenass Waterfall, Kirk Braddan and Peel Castle' - a minature view seen through a small hole/ glass lens in lid. Contains a matching pen knife and a 2 part pencil 9.3 and 8.5 cm overall, respectively. The views are attributed to McKee/Dublin who was in business as a photographer 1876-96, from a house in Fleetwood.
