Description: Second World War Army Chaplain's stole used by donor's late husband, Rev Gordon Sayle, throughout his service with Manx Regiment 1942-45. Row of five medal ribbons (1939-45 Star, Africa Star with 8th Army emblem, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, War Medal 1939-45 with Mention in Dispatches emblem) otherwise plain black corded fabric, double, 19 cm wide interlined with white/grey flecked tailor's canvas; ends cut into scallops, with embroidered badge of the Royal Army Chaplain's Department (motto: In This Sign Conquer).
