Description: Internee souvenir, sea shell, hand decorated in ink with picture of a winged child on island holding a placard reading 'Mooragh Camp IOM' and a fish looking up out of the sea. Signed E. Fox.
E. Fox is actually the anglicised name of E. Fuchs (Fox in German). Ernst Israel Fuchs was in Peveril Camp but as he was not released until 4 December 1941, it appears he was one of the Peveril internees who were transferred to Mooragh Camp when Peveril Camp closed in spring 1941.
