Sefton Internment Camp currency note

Description: Sefton Internment Camp ticket style currency note. Sefton I.C. comprised Sefton Hotel and Gaiety theatre and was in use from October 1940 to March 1941. Tickets only discovered in March 1982.
Obverse. 'Sefton I.C. 6d Douglas Isle of Man 8136' blue rice paper ticket with black printing. Torn from a roll with perforations either end. Reverse. 'Sefton Inte. Accoun.' stamped in violet, full inscription reads Sefton internment camp accounts office.
