Description: Second World War Onchan Internment Camp five shilling note. Paper.
Obverse. 'Onchan Internment Camp 5 shillings Five shillings Isle of Man [serial number] 1980' white paper with red full and half tone printing and a stylised view of the Tower of Refuge on the left of the note.
Reverse. 'Granville Internment Camp No. 18 Sep 1941 Douglas Isle of Man' 'not negotiable' pink oval date stamp with 2nd inscription handwritten in red ink. Note in almost mint condition. Printed at the Phoenix Printing Works, Liverpool on Wiggins teape 3009 paper. Original printing of 5000.
