Chapel Collection Dish
Date made: late 19th century
Description: Wooden chapel collection dish/bowl with handle, shaped like a frying pan. Used at Lhen Moar chapel (1825-1982 renovated on the inside in 1912). Turned handle and bowl which is stained and varnished and has green felt and sage green woven woollen fabric in bowl and on case. Handle makes it easier to pass along pews and lined so coins do not damage bowl and the base does not scratch altar table.
