Foot Measure
Description: Foot measure. Wooden rule with English and French shoe size divisions marked with inches/cm marked on reverse. Brass slide on rule with press down release catch and wooden block attatched. Foot is measured by being put on the rule and the block slides up to the heel. String tied round to hook it up. Found in 3 Castle Street (Kermode and Bignell shoe shop) hung up on the wall. Used up until the early 1980s. Found prior to demolition for new Strand Street development.
